Should I upgrade my desktop which I mainly use for games to Windows 10 since next month they are no longer updating it? And where is best place to buy it?

I've been running Windows 10 (free) for over 2 years. It updates regularly and I've never registered it (hence, not paying for it). Okay, so I have the standard blue background and cannot put my own screen saver or images on the desktop (who cares?).

All software which requires a Windows OS, still installs and works just fine.

DirectX 12 games seem to enjoy it. I'll play Steam games on it from time to time - without any hiccups. I'm not paying Micro$oft $135 or whatever they're asking for the Pro version (single user license fee).

I've given Micro$oft about $1200 over the years for their OS's. I'm done with that shit.

I guess you rejected the hysterectomy in favor of cotton encased cardboard rods.

What are you talking about?

Just asking if your computer has rabbit ears on it. Yes or no?

Depends upon if your gaming is new release titles, or if you're a few years behind the times.

If you're grabbing new release titles, then absolutely. They're designed with 10 in mind now. If you prefer retro-gaming, then you probably want to make sure any titles you're considering are available on GOG ( and to a lesser extent, Steam ) where they'll keep things updated for compatibility with O.S. Updates. Not quite as critical for newer games, but things from even a few years ago can start running into issues where they were written for older O.S. and choke in the new one.

So long as you're making the jump from 7, the transition to 10 doesn't require a huge amount of getting used to it.

Sure it does. It's an option if one wants to go wireless instead of hardwired to their internal home router.

Not quite the put down you were hoping for, huh?
