Fun fact: the ancient Greeks had a similar question in one of their legends.
The story says that one day, whilst arguing over his many extramarital affairs, Zeus and Hera somehow came to a disagreement about who craved sex more. Men or women? Naturally every goddess who was polled said men and naturally, the gods said women. So who could be an impartial judge?
Enter Tiresias. Tiresias was a blind prophet (son of a nymph, etc) who at one point in his life, struck and injured two mating snakes. Upon doing this, he was turned into a woman, which he lived as for several years. After some time, (s)he returned to that same area and, seeing the same two snakes mating again, was able to break the curse and change back into a man.
Up on Olympus, Zeus knew of Tiresias' story and whisked the prophet up to Mount Olympus to settle the score. Basically "You've lived as both a man and a woman; who craves sex more? Men or women?" According to Tiresias, the answer was that women wanted sex even more than men did.
What was gained from this conversation? Who knows? Maybe it's just another one of those "How did Zeus not get his pecker chopped off?" stories. But it seemed like a fun tidbit to add in here.
