Completely made up. I like to keep a total detachment between my real life and the stuff I do online. I suppose you could argue that a person's writing will always reflect their experiences or desires to some degree, even if just subconsciously, but I'm deliberately writing stories with no particular connection to reality. Just things that seem hot to me.

Yeah, some I keep to myself or post elsewhere. Forcing myself to write at all is hard, so I'll do it even if the end result isn't suited for one place or another.

I've played around with this in the stories I've written here, and so far have gotten the most success from getting right to the point. Something sexual and interesting in the first sentence. Don't bury the lede. Of course I've only written rather simple, low-plot stroke stories so far, so longer, more measured or complex tales might work differently.

Yeah. A story I was pretty proud of became my worst-received. The ones before and after had several times the reviews etc. It's always the way though, it's hard t judge your own work objectively.

Gotta say I was surprised the first time I got more than a few reviews and comments, too. I posted a tale that didn't feel any better than what I'd done before, looked back later and did a double-take.

I've never had complaints about approval speeds myself, and my membership has always been either Bronze or free. It generally takes a day or so? I might just have gotten lucky, I suppose, but the staff seem pretty speedy to me.

Not hugely important, but there's a minimum bar to clear. As you said, some names give off specific vibes which may or may not fit the character's needs. Beyond that though it's usually alright.

I do feel weird about giving characters the same names as people I know well, though. I try to avoid that.

Yeah, WoD has some interesting stuff. I owned but never ran the original Vampire : The Masquerade but in the end, it was not really my thing. The less well-known Nightlife, which leaned more splatterpunk than goth punk, was better in that regard but had an awful system.

The V:tM video game was pretty good, mind. Bloodlines that is, not the other one. Pen and paper wise I had more fun with old Mage and new Changeling, but of course they're very different games.

As a suggestion, have a read of the World of Darkness Werewolf series.
They have different kinds of myths you can loot and they have an interesting approach to what it's like to be a wolf.

Seconding this, although both their werewolf series include a lot of other baggage about spirits, cosmologies, other worlds etc as well which may not be what you're looking for.

(personally I like Werewolf: the Forsaken far more than its predecessor Werewolf: the Apocalypse, but either might be useful)

In some cultures, being a werewolf in life led to being a vampire after death (kind of an odd inversion of the vampires vs. werewolves conflict that is a trope unto itself)

The whole silver thing is a literary, or maybe even Hollywood, creation. Folkloric werewolves were just big evil wolves and could be hunted down like any other wild animal.

In folklore, werewolves were often sorcerors who transformed themselves into wolves to attack their neighbours and such. The idea of lycanthropy as a curse is another literary or cinematic trope (forget which).

I've always thought that if I ever do a werewolf story, I might actually do the sorceror turning themselves into a wolf thing. However, vampires have always been my thing moreso than werewolves.

Though Bram Stoker kind of fused the two by having Dracula turn into a wolf. (I think it was him. Can't think of any earlier sources.)

The silver weakness was popularised by literature and Hollywood, but it does have a folkloric basis. A silver bullet was used to kill the Beast of Gévaudan in 1767, the Beast being a wolf, dog or something of the sort which killed around 100 people and had a big impact on the werewolf mythos.

Personally, I have a soft spot for the "witch/warlock changing their appearance" thing as well.

Not particularly. My more recent stories usually get more attention than my older ones, but I think that's just me adjusting my style than anything else.

I like easter eggs, but I don't think I've put any in my stories here so far. I plan to though, in time. Several of my drafts have them.

I just had a new story approved, and thought I’d drop a post in here this time. I can’t link, but Claiming Her Kid Sister is still sitting on the front page for now. It’s a story of about four thousand words, featuring a young man giving in to the temptation of his girlfriend’s flirty younger sister and having some wild sex; not the most original story ever told, I’m sure, but some tales are as old as time. If you’re into spanking, rough sex and big asses, it might be for you.

I’m still learning (aren’t we all?) so I’m going for a bit of a shotgun approach to my stories at the moment; getting a bunch out there, trying to figure out what does and doesn’t work and learning from each one before going forward. In this one I tried to focus on how the protagonist came to cheat and why he found his girlfriend’s sister so irresistible; any thoughts would be appreciated.

I love it. As others have said, she has to be into it and there needs to be a certain amount of hygiene involved. It's not supposed to be scentless or to smell like flowers, but basic cleanliness is important. Bushy or bare is fine; I like hairy women. It does tend to get stuck in your teeth though...

I've had some comments like that; then again my first few stories are set up as 'Part 1' of a planned series, so it's to be expected. I haven't actually gotten around to posting the second installments on any of them yet, though, so it's interesting to see how other people do it.

Hello everyone! I've browsed this site for a while as a lurker, and decided it was time to take the plunge and join up. I'm an amateur writer, albeit one who hasn't written much in the way of erotica before. A big reason for joining has been so I can change that, both in the name of exploring my own interests and to try and improve my writing.

I've published a few things already, and there'll be more to come as I try to figure out what works. So far I'm happiest with No Ordinary Maid, which a few people seemed to like. I'd post links in a shameless display of self-promotion (though that might be best taken to the dedicated forum) but have realised I need twenty posts do so, so I guess I'd better get socialising ;)

Good to meet you all; might catch you around in the forums or the comment sections!
